Every painting and print that leaves the studio is carefully packed and insured — because getting your work to you in perfect condition matters just as much as the work itself.

Shipping

Shipping is complimentary on all original painting purchases within AUSTRALIA.

Once your order is confirmed, please allow approximately 2 to 3 weeks for the painting to be carefully prepared and packed for dispatch via express post. Once it's on its way, you'll receive a tracking number and delivery is estimated within 1–3 business days.

Original Paintings - AUSTRALIA

Original Paintings - INTERNATIONAL

International shipping is available on all original paintings. Costs are as follows:

40 × 50 cm New Zealand: $100 AUD - Rest of the World: $170 AUD

Once your order is confirmed, please allow approximately 2 to 3 weeks for the painting to be prepared and packed. Once dispatched, estimated delivery is 2–5 business days to New Zealand and 3–6 business days to the rest of the world.

Please note that import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer. We recommend checking your country's import regulations before placing your order.

Fine Art Prints - AUSTRALIA

Shipping is complimentary on all print orders within Australia.

All prints are made to order and printed by a trusted fine art print lab on museum-grade cotton rag paper. Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks from the time of your order for printing, quality checking, and packing. Once dispatched via express post, your print will be with you within 1–3 business days, and you'll receive a tracking number as soon as it's on its way.

A3 and A4 prints are flat-packed in a rigid mailer to arrive in perfect condition. A1 and A2 prints are carefully rolled and sent in a heavy-duty tube. For tips on unrolling and handling your print once it arrives, see the Caring for your new art section.

Fine Art Prints - INTERNATIONAL

International print shipping is available. Costs are as follows:

New Zealand: $20 AUD - Rest of the World: $30 AUD

Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks for printing and packing before dispatch. Once shipped, estimated delivery is 2–5 business days to New Zealand and 3–6 business days to the rest of the world. Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

A note on timing: All timeframes listed are estimates. During peak periods — particularly October through December — printing and delivery times can run a little longer. If you're ordering with a specific date in mind, get in touch and we'll do what we can.

Returns Policy

Due to the nature of original artwork and limited edition prints: We do not accept returns for change of mind.

Refunds are only issued in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Every order is photographed and carefully wrapped to ensure safe delivery. If your order arrives damaged, please document it before opening fully — photograph the packaging and the damage — and contact us at hello@lukemurchie.com within 5 days of delivery with photos. Each case is assessed individually and we'll work with you to find the right resolution.

We're not able to take responsibility for delays caused by carriers, customs, or circumstances outside our control — but we'll always do our best to help if something goes wrong.

1. Overview

By accessing this website and placing an order with Luke Murchie, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

2. Products

We sell the following:

  • Original artworks (one-of-a-kind, hand-painted)

  • Limited edition fine art prints

  • Digital gift cards

Product descriptions, dimensions, and images are provided as accurately as possible. Slight colour variations may occur due to differences in screen calibration and display settings. Original artworks may also vary slightly from photographs due to lighting conditions at the time of photography.

3. Pricing

All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable. We reserve the right to update pricing at any time without notice. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees imposed by their country upon receipt of their order.

4. Orders

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email. Please ensure your contact and shipping details are correct at checkout — we are unable to redirect orders once dispatched.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order in cases of:

  • Pricing or listing errors

  • Suspected fraudulent activity

  • Product unavailability

If your order is cancelled, you will be notified and a full refund will be issued promptly.

5. Returns & exchanges

Due to the nature of original artworks and made-to-order fine art prints, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.

If your order arrives damaged or there is an error on our part, please contact us within 5 days of delivery with photographs of the damage and your order details. We will work with you to find a fair resolution, which may include a replacement or refund.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by this policy.

6. Shipping

We take care in packaging all artworks to ensure safe transit. Once an order has been dispatched, delivery times are estimated and may vary due to carrier delays or customs processing, particularly for international orders. We are not liable for delays once an order is in the care of a shipping carrier.

Risk of loss and title for items pass to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier.

7. Intellectual property

All artwork, images, content, and designs on this website are the intellectual property of Luke Murchie and are protected under Australian copyright law.

Purchase of an artwork or print does not transfer copyright or any reproduction rights. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, publicly display, or resell any images or designs without prior written permission from Luke Murchie.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Luke Murchie is not liable for:

  • Delays or losses caused by shipping carriers

  • Customs or import processing delays

  • Damage caused by improper handling after delivery

  • Loss or damage arising from use of this website

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Privacy

Your personal information is collected solely for the purpose of processing your order and communicating with you about your purchase. We do not sell or share your information with third parties except as required to fulfil your order (e.g. shipping providers). For more information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
